Users of X may soon notice a significant boost in speed as the platform rolls out a revamped version of its web application. According to company officials, the update focuses heavily on reducing latency, particularly for those accessing the site via slower internet connections. Principal engineer Yagiz Nizipli highlighted a dramatic improvement in load times, noting that opening a profile which previously took over twenty two seconds to display content can now be done in under three seconds.
This performance leap is the result of a streamlined backend architecture. Instead of relying on three separate servers to handle general user traffic, search engine crawlers, and link previews, X has consolidated these functions into a single server system. This consolidation reduces the complexity of how data is fetched and delivered to the browser, leading to what engineers describe as a far more efficient experience.
Early feedback suggests the changes are tangible for the end user. Security researcher Jane Manchun Wong, who gained early access to the update, described the interface as feeling snappy and polished compared to previous iterations. While the updated framework is already live for guests and search bots, signed in users will see the rollout happen gradually across different countries.
